The atmosphere, design and general management of the place instantly reassured me that I was in good hands. Friendly, attentive staff seated me. They brought a blood orange granita which I loved. I ordered off the “Inspired By” menu that is the Tasha’s brand’s unique, inspired version of traditional dishes from Abu Dhabi. The food is beyond a doubt perfect. The ingredients are excellent and bursting with nuanced flavours.
The restaurant is stunningly beautiful and located serenely on the banks of the sea, overlooking some of the best of arabic architecture. The atmosphere is of the haunting quality of the United Arab Emirates, the call of the imam at dawn, the quiet lapping of the waves, of sand dunes and marble palaces and the legendary Arab hospitality. But the atmosphere at Tasha’s also evokes tapas in Spain, the high-end bistros of Paris, the spice-infused kitchens of the Levant, the bustling New York deli, and many more. If you have ONE foodie outing in Abu Dhabi, this MUST be it.
