Bluebells Restaurant (Ascot) Review

Bluebells Restaurant in Ascot in the United Kingdom – not far from London – is listed to offer a relaxed yet formal approach to dining. Options include lunch, dinner, Sunday and a kids menu.

“Bluebells Restaurant was fully booked a week in advance and when I eventually secured a table at 3pm on a Sunday, I could see why.

It had a relaxed formal fine dining feel, a friendly atmosphere, dedicated staff and was beautifully decorated, with a private conservatory area. The wine by the glass menu was great as was the selection for the rest of the wine list. The star of the show is the food, of course, with the Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding a firm favorite during my Sunday lunch visit with them.

The roast was decadent, succulent, soft and bursting with flavor. I haven’t had better to be clear. If I had to find fault, I’d say they had erred on the side of caution as far as seasoning is concerned. But no matter, pass the salt darlings.

The pork belly as well as the salmon were just perfect – as were the sides and the nuanced gravies, sauces and jous served. Everything from the arty presentation of the sumptuous starters to the perfectly executed desserts were luxurious. The atmosphere was refined and relaxed, if a little uppercrust (but just enough to let you know that your bougie tastebuds brought you to the right place).

Book in advance and prepare for a beautiful meal with surprisingly generous portions considering the fine dining experience of it all. I loved it.”
