Our Mission

As food, drink and travel critics, we aim to give credit to, and acknowledge great service providers that are worthy of mention and worthy of your custom so that you’ll be able to experience the same great service, food, drink and travel that the Thacks Awards panel experienced. The panel members have travelled and lived extensively; and comprehensively with a broad range of interests and passions.
The Thacks Awards Panel will each award limited Thacks Awards to just a few entities each per year, but will also use this platform to share the good stories about the good service providers in the trust that they’ll continue providing consistent service and offerings to encourage return visits. Winners of the Thacks Awards will all have scored 9 or 10 out of 10 in the five Thacks Awards categories which are Ambience, Exclusivity, Overall Experience, Service and Value for Money.

Our History

“The panel members had humble beginnings and have worked hard to be where they are in their respective fields… and before our days of international travel to exotic destinations, most have also experienced challenging life-stages like many.
From working in pubs in university days, living off mark-downs, sleeping in a dorm-style room with 6 others in London while packing duty-free trolleys for BA on night shifts, we have all worked very hard to get where we are today.
Now we’re all successful career-folk who have discerning palates and have visited multiple countries and have massive passions for food, wine and amazing or unique destinations.”

Our Services

We’re here to tell people about good things and to be critical and objective in those choices. The best food, drink and travel establishments need your support and we want them to succeed – and we want YOU to visit them so that everyone can make more good memories there.

If you offer credible food, drink or travel services with customer satisfaction focus, we’d love to hear from you. We can offer marketing services to the best of the best, or tell the world of our experience, but we cannot guarantee that you’d receive a Thacks Award if we were to visit you. That’s entirely up to the panelists and their awards are rare…
