2022 Top 5 Winner: CLUB69, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Thacks Awards have mostly been awarded to great restaurants and wine bars. But 2022 sees a night-life establishment winning one for the first time!!

Congratulations to ‘Club69’ that helped two of the Thacks Awards panelists feel 13 again. But partying until 5am made us feel like were were in our late 30’s and mid 40’s the next day again!!

Club69 is a welcoming venue for anyone of any age. We were so surprised at the vibrant and exciting nightlife scene (yet it’s quite underground in the sense that you need to research it as we had two disappointments of arriving at other Buenos Aires venues at the wrong date and address!), that Club69 deserves a 2022 Thacks Award.

Located near our accommodation in Palermo (our accommodation supplied earplugs!) we heard some thumping sounds which started around midnight and carried on until sunrise. Rather than deprive ourselves of sleep we decided to nap from 4pm until 11pm on the 3rd day, grab a shower and act like teenagers. The regular Niceto themed events provide a ‘second youth’ to anyone over 30 and we partied the night away to DJ’s and music with live performances which are a feast for the senses.

We even noticed people older than us with a mixed and friendly focus.
Have a look at videos on their Instagram page at past events to get an exciting feel for what you’d be in for if you’re still not sure, but in addition to the great sound and lighting, the themes with professional dishy dancers and special effects including streamers and balloons all add to a party night you’ll never forget. And you’ll wish you could do it again. It was certainly one of the best nights out we’d had in a long time.
You can skip the queues and buy pre-tickets for $1500 (just six euros) and promo drinks (2 gin and tonics cost just $1k – or two euros fifty each!) which are a steal. The happy vibe and dancers are great – we even saw a Madonna and Justin Timberlake lookalike at the Asian-themed evening.

If you only went to one more nightclub experience in your life, this is it!
